Single parenthood is a canker that goes with terrible traumatic challenges which at times results in unwarranted mental agonies, some single parents becomes mentally derailed as a results of frustrations and disappointments whiles some barely could afford a 3 square meals a day not to mention their children whom in most cases have to abandoned basic schools and become street hawkers and beggars of alms.
One may be compelled to ask who is a single parent. A single parent is a person who raises a child or children without a partner, some reasons of becoming a single parent includes divorce, break-up, and death of one parent, abandonment by one parent, single parent adoption, or artificial insemination. The canker of single parenthood and its consequences cannot be overemphasized.
The aforementioned justifications compelled the Treasures of his Eyes, a nonprofit organization based in the United Kingdom to launch support based program of rescue through provision of skill empowerment in diverse fields of vocation and provisions of equipment to already trained single parents who could not afford to procure equipment to earn a living.
In other to alleviate this problem, Madam Adefunke Adeoye, the coordinator of the Treasures of His Eyes through the Country Director, Ghana – Pastor Harrison Agyekum, decided to collaborate with the Duamenefa Foundation to offer relief to the single parents in these regards. The series of donations to support the single parents began way back 13th day of April, 2018, followed by the second phase which took place on the 3rd day of February, 2019 at the Global Evangelical, Church Chapel Vui, in the Keta Municipality of the Volta Region, Ghana where sewing machines were donated to support single parents.
The support initiative of the Treasures Of His Eyes was witnessed by various dignitaries from all walks of life including the Vui Traditional Council represented by the Regent Mr. Godwin Ahadzi, the Municipal Assembly, represented by the Honorable Assembly member of Vui, Tettekorpe, Tettevikorpe electoral area, honorable Dzordzorme, The Reverend Minister of the Global Evangelical Church Vui, Reverend Noble Kukubor, the Church Council Representatives, Members of the Church and immediate families of the recipients
Mr. Godwin Ahadzi, the Regent of Vui Traditional Council, commend the efforts of Treasures of His Eyes, through the Duamenefa Foundation for identifying the challenges of single parents and making good effort to alleviate this problem, he promised his kingdoms unflinching support towards the continuity of this laudable project.
Reverend Noble Kukubor offer prayers of dedication and consecration of equipment before the handing over, he commits Treasures of His Eye with the Duamenefa Foundation unto the throne room of grace, with special appeal to heaven to be open upon the efforts of the Treasures of His Eyes for divine provisions in this direction.
The honorable Assembly Member Mr. Dzordzorme who represented the local government in the Municipal Assembly also expressed satisfaction on the advent of the Treasures Of His Eyes and the special focus in the direction of single, according to him, this is what we call miracle, not the fake and counterfeit proclamations from false prophets and magicians, he says miracles are divine provisions which is unexpected and need to be felt just as we are all witnesses to this nonnegotiable provisions to single parents which comes all the way from an unknown destination called the United Kingdom by the kind donation of Treasures of His Eyes.
He encouraged the recipients to put the equipment’s into good and profitable use

The second phase of donations to the single parents by the treasures of his eyes took place on Sunday the 3rd day of February, 2019 at the Global Evangelical Church Vui, in the Keta Municipality of the Volta Region of Ghana

Whiles Treasures of His Eyes singlehandedly procure the equipment’s for donation to the single parents, the Duamenefa Foundation supports Treasures of His Eyes through logistics by means of transportation of equipment, radio publicity of the activities of Treasures of His Eyes as well as provisions of refreshment to the relevant stakeholders on the day of presentations
The (Single Parents) recipients of the equipment keep praising the name of God for the timely intervention to their plight by TREASURES OF HIS EYES, the Country Director of the Treasures of His Eyes Ghana, Pastor Harrison Agyekum request for continual prayers for Madam Adefunke Adeoye who is the pivot of this laudable initiative
The 3rd and 4th phase of donations is scheduled to take place with combination of recipients from three communities in the Ketu South, Ketu North and Akatsi District and Municipalities of the Volta Region of the Republic of Ghana, between the 21st day of February 2019, to 15th March 2019. Additional nine single parents are bid to benefit from the 3rd and 4th phases, this would bring the total beneficiaries to 15 persons at the close of the 1st quarter of 2019, the waiting list have 50 applicants whose needs according to the country director, would be met in due course, God willing.
