Prosper Agbawu, a second year student of Anfoega secondary school within the Volta Region (under investigations) paid with his life, now dead as a result of allegations of a quarrel between him and a senior student (under investigations).
According to the late Prosper’s mother, the son suffered human rights abuse from his senior who asked Prosper to leave his dinner to go out and search for his missing key. Prosper pleaded with the senior to be allowed to finish eating his dinner, but the senior refused his plea, collected the bowl of food from Prosper and threw it into the dustbin.
A misunderstanding ensued between the two, the senior student allegedly, hit Prosper with a severe blow and from that Prosper developed toothache complications, a swollen jaw and face.
All attempts by Prosper’s mother to seek medical attention through various hospitals including: Trafalgar of Ho, Korlebu, Accra, Ningo, Prampram among others yielded no results. One year after the incident, Prosper, unfortunately died mysteriously.
The School authorities and the parents of the senior student, now an ex student, are yet to sympathize with the bereaved family.
The Duamenefa Foundation took over investigations into this unfortunate tragedy.
