When 9 year old pupil, Joseph Gakpetor from the Gakpetor family of Woe in the Keta Municipality of the Volta Region was diagnosed of cancerous infections of the mouth, he was referred to the Korlebu Teaching Hospital by the St Anthony Hospital Dzodze for specialist attention. The poor parents who rely on fishing activities to make their leaving lost confidence in the survival of little John Gakpetor.

According to the mother of Joseph, Madam Mawulawoe Zormelo who was narrating her challenges to the Duamenefa Foundation through its medium the Fafaa 100.3 Fm Dzodze. She said the family cannot afford the cost of transportation with their sick child to travel from Dzodze to Accra for the specialist attention. Little Joseph was bleeding through the mouth with sores all over the mouth through to his throat. Joseph could not open his mouth to talk, eat or drink water.

According to the mother, a Good Samaritan referred her to seek for prayers for divine intervention and financial support from the Duamenefa Foundation. The mother carried little Joseph to the office of the Duamenefa Foundation for rescue. The Executive President of the foundation, Mr Emmanuel Ketaman Evortepe, who was on an official assignment in the USA was contacted by the office. Mr Ketaman instructed that an appeal for fund be raised from the general public through its intervention radio, the Fafaa 100.3 Fm Dzodze. The appeal for public support yielded a sum of Ghc 2,000. One thousand five hundred, this amount of money was used to support the transportation and the initial deposits at the Korlebu Teaching Hospital.

Little Joseph was placed on a special surgery which cost about Ghc 8,500. The Duamenefa Foundation raised the money from its coffers and paid fully for the surgical operations of little Joseph who survived the operation and now back on his feet.

Joseph Gakpetor is a pupil of Woe Aklorbordzi LA basic school, he is in primary class1. The timely interventions of the Duamenefa Foundation has saved the life of little Joseph Gakpetor, who now has a future to continue his education.

The Duamenefa Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organization with over 15,800 registered and certified volunteers mandated to promote peaceful coexistence of people in the various communities. The head office of the foundation is situated in the premises of its radio station, the Fafaa 100.3 Fm, Dzodze, Ketu North Municipality of the Volta Region. Its international office is located in the USA state of Alabama.

The foundation solicits for voluntary charitable donations to finance its humanitarian projects, we accept payments through PayPal, and are now listed as a charity on, so when you buy a qualifying product, we will receive a donation.

Our thematic areas of support projects to list a few: 1) Intervention into Human Right Abuse through spiritual and diabolical manipulations, 2) Vocational Training Empowerment to the vulnerable, 3) Community Fun Games to promote peaceful coexistence 4) Youth and Sports Development, 5) Skill empowerment for Single Parents through its associate NGO called the Treasure of His Eyes, based in the United Kingdom.
