Caregiving to the sick is to fulfill scriptures according to Matthew 25 verses 35-36. “For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.” For this reason, the board of governors and members of the Duamenefa Foundation took it upon themselves to fulfil the aforementioned scriptures through supporting and caregiving to the sick at Dzodze and Keta Hospitals respectively during this yuletide.
Over 800 in and outpatients were taken care of through the provision of food, spices drinks and water.
This according to the Executive President of the Duamenefa Foundation, Mr. Emmanuel Ketaman Evortepe, is one of the social intervention mechanism of the foundation, ” to provide charity”.
The intercessors prayer reverend ministers who formed the substratum of Fafaa 100. 3 FM’s Duamenefa Foundation were readily on the ground at all the hospitals for ministration of healing and deliverance during the care giving ceremony.
Mr. Richard Tumawo, the administrator of the St Anthony’s hospital Dzodze, who gave an approval to welcome the foundation on behalf of the management and staff of the hospital, express profound gratitude to the foundation, likewise the administrator of the Keta Hospital, Mr. Emmanuel Aforbu and Dr. Pearl Gobah warmly welcome the members representing the foundation to do the presentation, and prayers for the sick. Dr. Gobah commended the effort of the Duamenefa Foundation and also call on other well-meaning benevolent members of the society to emulate same.
Dr. David Nutakor, a geotechnical engineer based in the USA state of California, who is an active member of the Duamenefa Foundation responsible for coordinating other Ewes in California to support the vision and mission of the Duamenefa Foundation has single-handedly sponsored the care to the sick at the Keta Municipal Hospital.
Treasure of His Eyes, a Charitable NGO based in the United Kingdom led by its United Kingdom Coordinator, Pastor Adefunke Adeoye in conjunction with Mother’s Pride its associate NGO also based in the UK, sponsored the donation of assorted clothing to the sick and vulnerables of the society.
Togbi James Ocloo V, the Divisional Chief of Keta and Mama Tokormi, both members of the Duamenefa Foundation, were present at the Keta hospital, they presented 10 dozen of Voltic water to support the sick.
Togbi stated that he is content with the good intentions of the Foundation and will always do his possible best to support the Duamenefa Foundation in his little way.
