JUJU MAN AND HIS CONTRACTOR IN THE GRIP OF THE POLICE

The bilateral relationship between Ghana and Togo is not a warranty for citizens of the two countries to cross their borders illegally and engage themselves in spiritual manipulations to the detriment of the vulnerable of the two sister countries. Mr. Kofi Akogo popularly called “Togo”, who hails from the republic of Togo, crossed the borders to Ghana without recourse to immigration formalities, according to his explanations when he was interviewed by Host Mr. Emmanuel Ketaman Evortepe during the Duamenefa Social Intervention program of Fafaa 100.3 Fm, a Dzodze based radio station. Mr. Akogo claimed that he crossed the borders 21 years ago and resided in Atiteti community in the Ketu North Municipality of the Volta Region of Ghana. He also practices Vodoo and juju powers in line with his beliefs

Mr. Akogo was contracted by Mr. Seyram Ledi, a painter and a commercial motor rider to manipulate juju powers against Madam Roseline Nornormekuadzi his “baby mama” who had two issues with him and decided to quit the relationship due to series of misunderstandings between the two.  Mr Ledi when interviewed during the Duamenefa Social Intervention program admitted that he was not happy with her intention to quit the relationship hence he has contracted the Togolese Juju man to terminate the life of his ex-lover.

It would be recalled in a petition written by Ms. Roseline Nornormekudzi to the Duamenefa Foundation of Fafaa 100.3 Fm for investigation and intervention where she alleges that Mr. Ledi, with whom she had two children, cast a spell on her and the children leading to their current health challenges. She has been attacked by the powers of darkness where a serpentine movement revolves within her body from her head to the toe. She also has strange infections all over her body including her private parts and she keep scratching her body with any object at sight day and night, an illness several hospital facilities she visited could not diagnose.

The timely intervention of the Duamenefa Foundation of Fafaa 100.3 Fm through its Executive President, Mr. Emmanuel Ketaman Evortepe, warrant the congregation of relevant stakeholders, such as the directorate of National Commission For Civic Education (NCCE) Ketu North, led by Mr. Prosper Apealetey, for education on the provisions of the 1992 constitution of the Republic of Ghana in this regard, the Ghana Police Service Commander of Ketu North DSP Christian Dogbatsey and his policemen in line with the public order act, traditional rulers, in line with traditional jurisprudence, among them were (DCOP Rtd) Togbi Bedi Ahadzi IV, the former Regional Commander of Police and the traditional ruler of Ehie Bedikorpe. Togbi Agbeve Ayrim III of Tadzewu, Togbi Awlimetenu III, traditional queen mothers, Assemblyman and unit committee leaders with members of the families of the accused persons and the victim all gathered at Atiteti in the palace of Hon. Togbi Adzei III for the traditional arbitration for intervention to rescue the life of Madam Roseline Nornormekuadzi.

A thorough cross examination and collective investigations by the traditional authorities and members of the Duamenefa Foundation exposed Mr. Yao Akogui, the Togolese to admit that he possesses the vodoo and juju powers which he inherited from his grandfather in the Republic of Togo. Mr Ledi also admitted to the panel of traditional jurist that he contracted the Togolese to terminate the life of his ex-lover. Hence certain spiritual accoutrements were prescribed by the Togolese for the exercise which rendered Roseline and the two children spiritually infected.

The two culprits were handed over to the police and detained in the police custody of Dzodze in violation of immigration laws of Ghana. The traditional authorities also fined them to pay Ghc 5,000.00 (Five thousand Ghana cedis) towards the cure of the victim and to exorcise the gods and reverse the curse accordingly. They will however face prosecution in line with immigration laws of the republic of Ghana.

The Duamenefa Foundation of Fafaa 100.3 Fm is a non-governmental organization of over 15,874 volunteers scattered across the length and breadth of Ghana with the mandate to  promote peaceful coexistence of people in their various communities through investigation and intervention of dehumanizing traditional and spiritual matters bothering on infringement of the fundamental human right of the vulnerable.
