In line with its mandate to promote peaceful coexistence of people in the various communities through collaborations with relevant stakeholders, the Duamenefa Foundation this morning paid a working visit to the Municipal Chief Executive Officer of Ketu North Hon. Anthony Avorgbedor, the Municipal Director of NCCE Mr. Prosper Apealetey, The Municipal Commander of Police Superintendent Christian DOGBATSE and the Divisional Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Daniel Dzaka.
The Foundation presented citations, appreciation letters as well as introduction letter of our community representative in the various communities of the Volta Region who are expected to partner with the stakeholders to promote peaceful coexistence.
The catalogue of the community leaders as captured in the event brochure of the recent grand finale of the durbar of the Foundation was equally handed over to the stakeholders for ease of reference in this regard.
MCE KETU NORTH RECEIVES CITATION AND MEMBERTSHIP WITH APPRECIATIONS
In response, the MCE of Ketu North Municipality, Hon. Avorgbedor, expressed his deepest appreciations to the board of governors, patrons and stakeholders of the Foundation. He reiterated the position of the Municipal Assembly to partner with the Duamenefa Foundation in all areas of its operations in the interest of development of the municipality.
APPRECIATING SUPERINTENDENT CHRISTIAN DOGBATSE, THE DISTRICT COMMANDER, DZODZE
The Municipal Commander, Superintendent Dogbatse on the order hand exclaimed, “this is a step in the right direction, the community leadership directory of the Foundation will aid the Ghana Police Service in all the districts of the Volta Region for effective service delivery”.
SHOWING APPRECIATION TO MR. PROSPER APEALETE, DIRECTOR NCCE KETU NORTH
The Director of the NCCE, Mr. Apealete also expresses his gratitude to the Foundation for its God-given wisdom of peace building efforts. According to him, the National Commission for Civic Education has a wonderful relationship with the Foundation from its inception and will continue to partner with the good works of the Foundation.
The team left the Ketu North to the Ketu South district where they met the Divisional Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Daniel Dzaka for presentation of citations, appreciation letters and introduction of the community leaders.
VISITING WITH THE DIVISIONAL COMMANDER, DENU, ACP DANIEL DZATA TO PRESENT APPRECIATIONS AND A CITATION
The Divisional Commander expresses his profound gratitude to the Duamenefa Foundation and also indicates the willingness of the rank and file of the Ghana Police Service to collaborate with the Foundation to promote peaceful coexistence. He also called on the management of the Foundation to organize an orientation workshop for their community leaders in this regard.
The Duamenefa Foundation has so far registered over 28, 605 volunteers within 160 communities of the Volta Region, and still counting. The core mandate of the volunteers is to promote peaceful coexistence of people in the various communities. The Foundation has targeted 550 communities for the aforementioned exercise, hence the need to decentralized its operations in collaborations with the relevant stakeholders cannot be overemphasized.
The team was led by its USA citizen volunteer who is the International Director of Operations, and also in charge of the registration of volunteers, Rev. Diane Westcott, now recognized and known as “Mamaga Duamenefa I”, meaning the Queen Mother of Peace. Other members of the delegation were, Rev. Gabriel Dokli, Rev. Avornyo Robert, Mr. Pascal Folli – Notrson, and Madam Fafali Bobobee. They are bid to visit other relevant stakeholders in the various districts and municipalities subsequently.
The Executive President of the Duamenefa Foundation and CEO of Fafaa 100.3 Fm, Emmanuel Ketaman Evortepe, on behalf of the Board of Governors and the Executive Governing Council use the occasion to assure the stakeholders visited today that the Foundation has a formidable team of experts in strategic management as its Board of Governors, hence would deliver on its mandate without fear or favor.
