Health issues have become one of the life challenges that always need massive attention and solutions.
Mr. Emmanuel Ketaman Evortepe, the Executive President of the Duamenefa Foundation and CEO of Fafaa 100.3 FM Dzodze, in the Ketu North Municipality of the Volta Region and Dr. David Kotei Nutakor, a Geo-Technical Engineer residing in the United States of America, have assumed to give new hope to the Children’s and Male Wards of the Keta Municipal Hospital in the Volta Region.
Mr. Emmanuel Ketaman Evortepe who also doubles as the Chief Executive Officer of Fafaa 100.3 FM and his cousin Dr. David Kotei Nutakor, who were both born at the Keta Municipal Hospital in the 60’s, have decided to embellish the image of the hospital in order to enrich recovery in the Volta Region.
In the year 2019, during a meeting of the two brothers in the US State of California, Dr. Nutakor proposed to adopt the Children’s ward in memory of his late parents, Mr. Leonard Bese Gbede Nutakor and Madam Sabina Atsemuyo Evortepe, to help see advancements in the said ward.
So, between 2020-2023, Dr. Kotei Nutakor donated items worth Gh¢35,382.00, to help improve the children’s ward of the Keta Government Hospital. The items include a 65-inch plasma television, complete re-painting inside and outside of the ward, creating a play/reading room for the patients which included; (Vinyl wallpaper, tables, chairs, floor mats, toys, tricycles, basketballs, push cars, and books), a 10L portable oxygen cylinder with regulator, an infant and adult scale, suction machine, among other items to aid in the quick recovery of patients.
On the other hand, the Chief Executive Officer of Fafaa 100.3 and Executive President of Duamenefa Foundation, Mr. Emmanuel Ketaman Evortepe, on behalf of the Duamenefa Foundation and Fafaa 100.3 FM, decided to also give possible hope to the Male’s ward with items worth Gh¢25,612.00. The items include; 3 pulse oximeters, 2 double-headed stethoscopes, 2 infrared thermometers, 2 double-crank hospital beds, 2 rolling medicine trays, an adult scale, 5-fold ward screen, 4 ceiling fans, 4 32-inch plasma TV sets with satellite links in all the four wards of the Keta Government Hospital to help the patients remain connected to the world while they recover.
In addition to the donations, His Eminence Hon. Chief Francis Albert Nyonyo, a Member of the Council of State, in the office of the President of Ghana, a trustee of Fafaa 100.3 FM’s Duamenefa Foundation, in commemoration of his birthday on the 15th of September 2023, through the Duamenefa Foundation also donated items such as Littman Stethoscopes, 5-fold ward screen, Omron BP monitor and other items worth Gh¢5,000 to Keta Municipal Hospital.
The Management and Staff of the Keta Government Hospital led by Dr. Elorm Kwaku Ackarh, the Acting Medical Superintendent of the Hospital presented a Citation in honor of the Chief Executive Officer of Fafaa 100.3FM and Members of the Duamenefa Foundation for their sincere for their generous contributions toward the growth of the hospital.
The CEO of Fafaa 100.3 FM’s Duamenefa Foundation rededicated the Citation to Dr. David Kotei Nutakor, Hon. Chief Francis Albert Nyonyo, Rev. Diane Westcott (Mamaga Duamenefa I) the Executive Board of Governors of the Foundation and the over 36,000 volunteers of the Foundation for their solid contributions.
