All is set for the 2024 edition of the Duamenefa Regional Tournament’s Grand Durbar

The personal assistant to the Executive President and Founder of the Duamenefa Foundation, who is also the CEO of Fafaa FM, Mr. Emmanuel Ketaman Evortepe, also known as Togbui Duamenefa I, in the Ketu North municipality of the Volta Region, Miss Fafali Bobobi, in an interview with the boss Togbui Duamenefa I, on Fafaa radio, said all is set for this year’s edition of the Duamenefa Regional Tournament grand finale scheduled to come off on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Dzodze Penyi Senior High School Park.

“As part of our preparations, we have invited all the traditional councils here in the southern sector of the Volta region and their chiefs,” she stated.

We have also invited other dignitaries like the Municipal Chief Executives, MPs, assembly members, pastors, fetish priests, imams, and others, she added.

The security officers are not left out; the Ghana police service, immigration service, Ghana fire service, and other private security services will be in attendance for our safety, she explained.

According to the PA, there will be a lot of donations on that day.

“We will be donating to all the traditional councils, some churches, shrines, and individuals,” she stated.

We will also be giving out sewing machines to some single parents and some physically challenged, she added.

There will also be motorbikes for our community reporters, which will be given through the traditional council to help them in executing the jobs, she explained.

Madam Fafali stated that “we have given two weeks to all our reporters to file news on all the stories on Fafaa FM, and the best two will be going home with a brand new 360 laptop computer.”

The Duamenefa Regional Tournament is an initiative of Fafaa 100.3 FM, a private commercial radio station based in Dzodze, Ketu North of the Volta region of Ghana.

The radio station is supported by its NGO dubbed the Duamenefa Foundation.

The tournament, which started in 2017, had a record of over 100 football teams (both male and female) and athletes participating.

The final match in this year’s grand finale will be between Afornyaga FC from Afornyaga in the Ketu North municipality and Srohume Luki Stars FC from Srohume in the Ketu South municipality.

His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, the former president and the flag bearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), is the special guest of honour, and the prime sponsor of the tournament is the Tanko Foundation, headed by Hon. Tanko Kwamigah Atokple, also known as Togbi Nyaxordeakorla I.

The program is expected to be full of drumming and dancing, cultural displays, and above all, making peace with everyone, which is the main objective of the Foundation.
