Duamenefa Eleven to face Banana Inn FC

The Duamenefa Eleven will face Banana Inn FC, an Accra-based division two side, in a friendly match as part of preparations for this year’s Duamenefa Regional Tournament Grand Finale.

Mr. Gilbert Kwabla Gbittor, secretary to the local organising committee of the tournament, disclosed this to Mr. William Kofi Gafah on the sports segment of the Agoo morning show on Fafaa 100.3 FM, Dzodze.

According to Mr. Gbittor, the Duamenefa Eleven team is made of players selected from the various teams participating in this year’s tournament.

He added that the players’ first training selection will be at Klikor Unity Park on Thursday, August 22, 2024.

Mr. Gbittor urged the players to put in all their best, as they hope this meeting will yield a good result.

Speaking to the manager of Banana Inn FC, he stated that the match will help them as they prepare for their upcoming division two league.

“Some of our players play for the national under-17 team; some of them also played in the just-ended national regional tournament, including the best goalkeeper of the tournament,” he stated. So we are coming with a full team and with supporters. We will also be selecting players for our under 13, 15, 17, and the second division side, he added.

“For you to be a professional player, you need to be disciplined, have enough rest, and always listen to and obey what your coaches tell you, he concluded.

The match is scheduled to come off on Sunday, 25th August at Dzodze Penyi Senior High School park.
