A total of 1,708 candidates are taking this year’s West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in the Anloga District of the Volta Region. The students come from three senior high schools in the district:
- Anlo SHS, Anloga – 651 candidates
- Zion College, Anloga – 742 candidates
- Volta School High School, Dzita – 315 candidates
According to Mr. Dzanado from the Education Directorate in Anloga District, some practical exams have already taken place, including Visual Art Practical, Clothing Practical, French Oral, and Music Practical. The theory exams commenced on August 21, 2024, with English Orals.
Mr. Dzanado advised students to avoid examination malpractices and exhibit good behavior during the exam period. He also highlighted a challenge faced by Volta Senior High School, which lacks classroom facilities to conduct the exams on theorists in Dzita. As a result, a temporary centre has been created at Zion College, Anloga.
He encouraged students to thoroughly revise their books to ensure success in the exams.
