Volta Region: Cracked Electricity Pole Poses Risk to Adrume D/A Primary School

Adrume, Ketu North Municipality, Volta Region – November 7, 2024

A Primary School has developed a severe crack, sparking concerns among residents and students.

In an exclusive interview with Fafaa Radio, Mr. Godwin Wotordzor, a local resident, revealed that the pole has been in a precarious state for an extended period. “Its condition makes students feel uncomfortable in and around the school,” he stated.

Despite its hazardous state, the pole continues to service over five households and has dangling lines above the community’s water source. Residents struggle to fetch water due to safety fears.

Mr. Wotordzor and fellow residents urge authorities to replace the pole, ensuring their safety.
