Duamenefa Foundation Brings Hope to Keta Municipal Hospital

In a heartwarming display of generosity, the Duamenefa Foundation made a significant donation to the Children’s Ward at the Keta Municipal Hospital on January 30, 2025.

The Foundation presented the hospital with vital medical equipment, including a C-PAP machine, an oxygen concentrator, and a phototherapy light. These life-saving devices will greatly enhance the hospital’s ability to provide quality care to its young patients.

The donation ceremony was attended by representatives from the Duamenefa Foundation, Prayer warriors, Catechist James Nutakor, the family representative of Dr. David Kotei Nutakor and some staffs of Fafaa FM. The atmosphere was filled with gratitude and optimism as the Foundation’s representatives handed over the equipment to the hospital.

The C-PAP machine will help treat children with respiratory distress, while the oxygen concentrator will provide a reliable source of oxygen for patients in need. The phototherapy light will aid in the treatment of jaundice in newborns.

“The items or machines will have a great impact on our patients. We are honoured to have you as part of our community,” said nurse Edith Akorfa Dorvi as she expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the donation, emphasizing the significant impact it will have on them to provide quality care to the patients.

“We are overwhelmed with gratitude for this generous donation, I have never seen some before,” said Dr. Kofi Karikari Bonsu Medical Superintendent of the Keta Municipal Hospital. “These machines will undoubtedly save lives and improve the health outcomes of our young patients.

He continued to say the machines are good, expensive and of high quality, Duamenefa always gives brand new, not second hand items. We thank the Duamenefa Foundation for their kindness and commitment to improving healthcare in our community. May the Good Lord continue to bless them so that they continue to support us,” he added.

The Duamenefa Foundation’s donation is a testament to the power of community spirit and philanthropy. Their selfless act will have a lasting impact on the lives of countless children and families in the Keta Municipal Hospital’s catchment area.

As the hospital’s medical staff begins to utilize the new equipment, they do so with renewed hope and confidence, thanks to the Duamenefa Foundation’s generosity.

This is the 10th donation presentation and was made on behalf of Evangelist Emmanuel Evortepe popularly known as Papa Ketamen, CEO of Fafaa fm and Dr.David Kotei Nutakor who lives abroad. They do this to appreciate the hospital for taking care of them during their birth.
