Hormegobo-Kpemkpakorpe, Ketu North Municipality
The family head of the Ʋuashie family, Mr. Kudjo Ʋuashie, along with other residents of Hormegobo and Kpemkpakorpe, have issued an ultimatum to a Fulani herdsman, Muhammed, to vacate the area by tomorrow, March 18, 2025.
According to Mr. Ʋuashie, the residents are deeply concerned about the presence of Fulani herdsmen and their cattle in the residential area. In an interview with Fafaa Radio, Mr. Ʋuashie explained that the community had been forced to relocate from Kpemkpakorpe due to the death of an elderly resident, leaving behind his daughter, Dali.
However, upon learning that a Fulani herdsman and his family had relocated from Adrume to Kpemkpakorpe with their cattle, the community took swift action. Mr. Ʋuashie stated that the Fulani herdsmen had settled in the area without permission, allowing their cattle to graze on nearby cassava plantations.
“We have given them a stern warning to leave by tomorrow. If they fail to comply, we will take necessary action to protect our rights and property,” Mr. Ʋuashie emphasized.
The Fulani herdsman, Muhammed, has reportedly agreed to leave, claiming that the cattle belong to one Hunua Anotsey.
