The Executive President of the Duamenefa Foundation, Mr. Ketaman Emmanuel Evortepe, also known as Torgbui Duamenefa I, and Chief Executive Officer of Fafaa 100.3 FM, has been cited in recognition of his exceptional humanitarian service
The citation was presented by Fiator Littleben Xedagbui Vidreku, a renowned journalist and the programs director of GBC Volta Star, Radio, Ho.
The honour acknowledges Mr. Evortepe’s remarkable leadership in promoting peace, protecting the vulnerable, and fostering peaceful coexistence across communities through the work of the Duamenefa Foundation. In addition to the citation, Fiator Vidreku also presented an undisclosed amount of money, stating that the gesture further testified to the value and relevance of the honour bestowed on the CEO of Fafaa Fm, Dzodze
During Fafaa 100.3 FM’s Intervention Morning Show, hosted by Abass, Fiator Vidreku explained the deep motivation behind his decision to offer the citation. He stated that he has worked with many high-profile personalities in journalism since 1980, yet none demonstrated the level of dedication and community impact he is witnessing from the journalistic practices of Mr. Ketaman, the Duamenefa Executive President. Even as a journalist himself, he said he had not seen anyone who uses the media to promote the reconciliation of hitherto antagonistic spiritual and diabolical conflicts
Fiator Vidreku expressed his admiration through a symbolic song, first singing: “The work Jesus Christ is doing is good and good more,” and then repeating the same line in honour of Mr. Evortepe: “The work Ketaman is doing is good and good more.” He explained that this was his heartfelt way of acknowledging the Executive President’s consistent efforts in saving lives and promoting peace across communities.
He further noted that the inspiration to honour the Duamenefa Executive President came from deep personal reflection, saying his “pillow advised him” — a figurative expression meaning his conscience urged him to act. He said he felt compelled to give this recognition so that future generations would testify that Mr. Evortepe’s efforts were acknowledged during his lifetime. According to him, failing to honour such impactful work would be regrettable, emphasizing that “you will be hurt that dinger the dancer,” highlighting the need to appreciate people while they are alive.
Fiator Vidreku reiterated that the Duamenefa Foundation’s interventions have saved numerous lives and promoted peaceful coexistence in many communities. He explained that some people misunderstand the Foundation’s work, thinking Ketaman is attacking traditional practitioners or voodoo worshippers. However, he clarified that there is a difference between genuine traditional practitioners and those who use spiritual powers to harm others. He emphasized that Mr. Evortepe applies the same principles to all groups, including Christian leaders, and publicly condemns harmful practices regardless of who is involved — proving that the Executive President stands for lawful conduct and human dignity, not against any faith or tradition.
He added that claims that Ketaman is “on the neck” of traditional practitioners are wrong. He stated that legitimate practitioners who perform their duties properly have nothing to fear, because the Foundation only intervenes when someone allegedly uses their gods or spiritual authority to harm innocent people — an act that violates the law.
Representing the Duamenefa Foundation and Fafaa 100.3 FM, show host Abass Seidu stood in on behalf of his boss, Mr. Evortepe, to express heartfelt appreciation to Fiator Vidreku for his thoughtful and generous recognition. He thanked him for acknowledging the Executive President’s hard work and affirmed that the honour would further motivate the Foundation to continue its mission of promoting peace and protecting communities.
The honour reflects the significant impact of the Duamenefa Foundation’s work and the respect its Executive President continues to earn both locally and nationally.
