A voodoo practitioner, Hunor Atsu Gana, residence at Agbovorkorpe, Dziehegbleta, in the Ketu North Municipality of the Volta Region, has been reported to the traditional authorities for allegedly disturbing the public peace by shooting guns for four consecutive days and nights, posing a risk to the lives of residents.

According to over 60 elderly residents, including Minao Sewornu, who lives near the shrine, the disturbance began on October 23 and continued until October 27.

Minao Sewornu, who claims to be a victim of the disturbance, expressed his concerns to Fafaa Radio, stating that the gunshots and other activities at the shrine have caused him undue stress, exacerbating his health condition. Other residents have also complained about the noise, music, and alleged disposal of dead animals in an unhygienic manner.

During an exclusive interview with Fafaa radio , Hunor Atsu Gana admitted to the activities, claiming that they were performed at the behest of the gods. He expressed regret for the disturbance and apologized to the residents through the media, promising to relocate such activities in the future.

The matter has been reported to the family head, Zikpuitor Ametepui Anagbla, the Assembly member, and Torgbui Adukpo Dzeble IV. Investigations are ongoing to ensure peaceful coexistence in the community.

The authorities are urged to take necessary steps to address the concerns of residents and ensure that such incidents do not recur in the future.
